Torbay Culture's summary of actions over the last 12 months

At our November 2023 advisory board meeting we reviewed the work we have done between October 2022 and October 2023 to deliver the cultural strategy’s priorities.

Below you can access a summary of what we have done during this 12 month period, and how these areas of work have helped deliver the priorities for culture and heritage in Torbay.

Thanks to everyone who has helped us over this year. This is an exciting time for heritage and culture in Torbay - as we embark on a new 10 year partnership with The National Lottery Heritage Fund as one of its Heritage Places. We awarded the first round of Torbay Local Heritage Grants to projects across Brixham, Paignton, and Torquay, and round 2 opens in early 2024. There is progress in Paignton thanks to the DCMS Cultural Development Fund focused around the historic Picture House; and at Torre Abbey thanks to MEND and the National Heritage Memorial Fund and others.
