Torbay Culture is seeking a consultant with a record of achievement in securing funding for cultural, creative and social development programmes, to raise funding to support delivery of Torbay’s cultural strategy.

Torbay Culture is aiming to develop a group of ‘go to’ people who are friendly, well-informed ambassadors for Torbay, passionate about culture and keen to support a variety of projects.

With the departure of Kate Farmery to The Box in Plymouth at the end of November 2018, we are looking for a new Executive Director to work with our Chair, board and partners to drive sustainable economic and social development in Torbay through arts, heritage and culture.

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic Lead Producer to execute the development and successful delivery of Torbay’s Great Place Scheme Cultural Programme, an ambitious year-long programme of cultural happenings across Torbay’s three towns, key cultural venues, new spaces and in the public realm.

Torbay is a growing centre for creative commissioning. Artists and cultural organisations are increasing the health and wellbeing of residents by bringing their creative skills into other sectors, collaborating with organisations such as the NHS Foundation Trust to help them achieve their own aims. Having recently completed a series of 'test and learn' projects in the health and care sectors, we are seeking a freelance individual or organisation to take the next, necessary steps that will fully embed this practice here, increasing reach and deepening impact.

Can you help us put Torbay on the map as a great creative centre? We are looking for a brilliant communicator to raise the profile our work with local, national and international stakeholders, advocating for arts, heritage and culture in Torbay and ensuring the growing impact of strategic investment such as the Great Place Scheme is widely understood.

We are seeking to appoint an individual or organisation to support us in developing the English Riviera’s cultural tourism offer, helping us to shape an all-year-round destination and attract a new type of visitor. If you have credible knowledge and experience of cultural tourism with a creative approach this could be the project for you!

We're building a network of cultural volunteers to be strong advocates for culture in Torbay, to encourage engagement in local arts, culture and heritage by Torbay residents and to support the delivery of our growing arts and heritage offer. Can you help?
